This Privacy Policy describes how Teshy ("Teshy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit teshy.com and its subdomains (the "Site"). It also describes your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (together, "CCPA/CPRA").
Who we are
Teshy is a community platform focused on blockchain securities, real-world-asset (RWA) investment education, and Cosmos ecosystem tooling. We operate the Realio validator node, the compound.teshy.com staking estimator, and this informational website. You can contact us at: cs [at] teshy [dot] com.
Information we collect
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager)
When you visit the Site with analytics enabled, Google Tag Manager (GTM) loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which automatically collects:
- Pages visited and navigation path
- Time spent on pages
- Referring URL
- Approximate geographic location (country/region, derived from IP address — IP is not stored)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Anonymized identifiers stored in cookies (e.g.,
_ga,_ga_*)
We do not collect your name, email address, financial information, or any information that directly identifies you through analytics.
Information you provide voluntarily
If you contact us via email or community channels (Telegram, Discord, GitHub), you provide information directly. We use it only to respond to you.
How we use this information
We use analytics data solely to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We do not use it for targeted advertising or sell it for money.
Sharing with third parties
When GTM/GA4 is active, usage data is transmitted to Google LLC. Under CCPA/CPRA, sharing personal information (including device identifiers and browsing activity) with a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising or for the third party's commercial benefit may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — even without monetary exchange. We disclose this possibility so California residents can exercise their opt-out right below.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share data with any other third parties.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we hold (subject to certain exceptions).
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing — direct us not to sell or share your personal information. See "How to opt out" below.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at cs [at] teshy [dot] com.
How to opt out of analytics data sharing
You have two ways to opt out:
- Footer link — click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of any page. This opens a preferences panel where you can toggle analytics off. Your preference is saved locally and GTM will not load on subsequent page views.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) — if your browser or extension sends the GPC signal (
navigator.globalPrivacyControl = true), we honor it automatically — GTM will not load and your preference is recorded.
Opting out is effective on the next page load (the current page's GTM request, if already sent, cannot be recalled). GTM is not loaded server-side — opting out prevents the client-side request entirely.
Cookies
When analytics are enabled, GA4 sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) on the teshy.com domain. These persist for up to 2 years and are used to distinguish unique visitors. If you opt out, these cookies are not set on future visits. You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings.
CookieConsent v3 stores your preference in a cookie named teshy_cc and in localStorage key teshy_optout.
Data retention
GA4 data is retained per Google's default retention settings (up to 14 months for event data, configurable in GA4 Admin). We do not independently store analytics data. Contact us to request deletion of any data associated with your identifiers.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us at cs [at] teshy [dot] com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
